Father & Son

I would love to work with you to create a portrait or landscape that will be treasured for years to come.  Your art can tell the stories meant to be told too!  I love to paint portraits to honor a loved-one, decorate your home, or give as the ultimate one-of-a-kind gift. I can work from a photograph or paint with the subject live in the room with me!

My Simple Process

  •  Send me a high-res photo. Or I can meet with you if in area.
  •  I will paint it with creative skill & love.
  •  After final approval of the finished painting, I will ship it to you quick!
  •  You will have your new painting at your doorstep very soon. Enjoy!

Procedures & Fees
The process begins with a meeting to discuss the specifics of your portrait. We will review your needs, look at my portfolio, or see the paintings in person if you live in the Ft. Collins/Denver area. This is also when we will choose the size and subject of the piece, as well as decide any deadlines that must be met.

~ Prices start at $500 USD for an unframed, head and shoulders portrait created in 9×12 oil on linen.  It usually takes about a 1-3 weeks for an oil painting to be completed.

Sittings: Very few subjects seem to have the time or desire to sit for the entire duration of the painting process. So I seek to sketch my subject or at least correct coloration at the end. Typical sittings are between 1 and 3 hours.

9×12 pencil or charcoal drawings start at $120

Final Mural Photo

6×22′ mural on courtyard wall, Santa Fe, NM USA 2008
“When we first found Josh on Craig’s List it was the picture of the child in blue, “Anna” that caught our eye. At the time we were looking for someone to paint a mural on our courtyard wall. We interviewed Josh, liked his work and his attitude and commissioned him to do the mural. We watched him labor over his work and love every minute of it until the very end. He took all of our suggestions to heart and made it all work out perfectly. Everyone who sees our “wall” is impressed. Then, just last weekend we went to Josh’s sale in town and we got to purchase the picture of “Anna” which now hangs in our living room. We’ve been keeping an eye on Josh since we met him, through his emails, blogs and websites. He has grown in confidence and improved his technique greatly since we first met him. We feel that his is “our very own local artist” and we feel privileged to support him and encourage him anyway we can. Give him the chance to impress you…….” -Jo-Ann & Joel H., Santa Fe, NM
