Work in progress-Joyce & Jeni
I just started this painting on Saturday while working at the Santa Fe Artists Market. It turned out to be a nice day and I wanted to be productive as well. So I brought my 12×12 already-stretched canvas on 1″ bars, took an old photo of my Aunt Joyce, who was a talented psychotherapist and pianist, and a great supporter of my creative pursuits, and my sister Jeni, who was months old in this photo I painted from. I like how it’s evolving with the warm colors and the facial expressions. I will paint thicker and adjust Joyce’s eyes, I know they’re a bit crooked, but that can be fixed. Better to catch that now than later. I’ll update the progress of this piece.
Thanks for visiting again, your support means the world to me!
