Blog Challenge (day 5): Setting Yourself Up…for Success

I’m taking a 10-day blog challenge by Natalie Sisson, the suitcase entrepreneur who is an inspiring artist of a lifestyle I would like to attain. Let’s go!

Day 5

Life gets in the way, not just sometimes but all the time!  That’s a fact in my life.  It’s not that there’s too much to do in one day, but a lot of time doing other things that distracts you from your most important priorities during the day.  I’m as guilty as anyone.

But scheduling your 3 most important tasks each day and writing it down will help you get to where you want to go.  Even if it takes just 15-20 minutes, do a small chunk.  You will feel awesome and progress is truly happening.  Easier said then done, right?  Well I will start it off with my own plan with the “what, when and how” of it all.

What will you do

I will paint and create art.  Even if it’s not a masterpiece, the act of creation and starting is the most important.  Things will naturally flow from there.

When will I do it

My least busiest time is in the morning, so that’s when I’ll schedule it.

How will it get me closer to my dreams

I’ll be improving my painting techniques and it will help me focus better on a series of works and to market it.  The more I create, the more possibility that I’ll connect with someone, build relationships and sell my work to the right people.  If I paint something I love, chances are someone else will love it too.  Then you really have something going for yourself.  And to always write down your three daily tasks will help you get there.
