"Sweeping Dusk" my first painting of 2010, 10x20 acrylic on board

How is this new decade for you so far?  It’s been a productive day for me.  I spent a few hours updating my website, so hope you enjoy it.  I wanted to make it more interactive, so now you can comment on any of my posts!  Say anything you want, I dare you!  No really, I would love to hear from you, your comments are most important in my development as an artist, so write away and say what you have to say!

Second, I did my first painting just before dark tonight.  I also worked in acrylics, and it was fun.  It will be dry by tomorrow, because it’s a slow-drying acrylic by Golden.  This scene was created in my backyard overlooking the Sangre de Christo Mountains in Santa Fe.  I used 4 colors and was fighting to beat the light.  So today was an important day, because I wanted to start the year off right, and I did.  Just follow through and as for my girlfriend, thanks for kicking my butt out the door to do this painting!

I will post some of my new work on my site, so keep checking back, and for heaven’s sake, sign up and become a fan on my Facebook!
