Sedona Cliffs, part one

Sedona Red Cliffs

“Sedona Red Cliffs” 8×10 oil on masonite

Last month when I finished my Mesa art show, I stopped in Sedona, AZ on the way back.  I mean, it’s Sedona, I would have kicked myself if I didn’t stop by to one of my favorite places.  When I arrived, I went to a local strip mall parking lot, set up my easel on the sidewalk besides my car, and painted two scenes on the spot.  This was one of them.  I revised just a little bit at home without hurting the integrity of the art, which is why I haven’t posted it yet.  Until now.  I love the red rocks and painting them, and the characters of the rocks seem to have their own personalities.  Part two, and my second painting done after this one, coming soon.
