I’m at the Easel Place because of tonight’s holiday show. It’s also First Friday and there’s a tree lighting ceremony in the Old Town Plaza in Albuquerque. I just came back from my 10 day trip to New Jersey on Wed night. I will be painting later tonight, but I want to stay attentive to the public even more. There is suppose to be 12 artists displaying their art and painting here, a full house.
Coming back from my trip, I felt I got some important things accomplished. Even though I didn’t paint, I’m trying not to be so hard on myself. There are other ways to be as productive. I took a ton of photos of Lambertville, New Hope, Philly and New York. I hope to turn a few of them into paintings in the near future. I also learned a bit more about my own family. Some things more positive than others, but I feel I saw the reality of my situation with clearer eyes, I don’t know how else to put it. I also fell in love with Lambertville/New Hope again, it truly was a great experience just being there. The canals, river, architecture were all breathtaking. I’ve been to many spots in this country, and still regard as my old hometown as among the best places to visit. Now I have to get my painting grove back, as I have a show tomorrow morning in Rio Rancho, see news.
