Painting outside is very therapeutic for me. Maybe some people can live off the fresh air of concrete and metal on a daily basis, but not me. Whenever I’m in the city, despite being overly crowded and chaotic, I tend to look up in the sky in search for the “un-man-made” element called the sky.
I’m lucky that I live near a great little park. I painted this painting very quickly, perhaps an hour. I kept the elements simple, wanted a bright river, blue sky and a nice supporting cast of mountains and trees.
