The Art of the Portrait Commission

Painting portraits is a joy in itself, but having the client be a part of the process of commemorating and honoring their pet or human is something I love to do.

The first steps are a discussion of size, black & white or color, backgrounds, etc. An agreement is signed with a 50% deposit upfront, and the rest upon delivery/completion. The process is fun and casual. My commissions run as close to the same price as my original paintings, except an extra head/figure or two.  The larger the size, the more details I can fit in.   If you need a custom size, I'll be happy to send you a quote.  I can also do pics from your travels, too. All requests are welcome!

Reference photos are taken if the client is local, or are emailed by the client to work from due to distance. Unless the portrait is a gift, then it won’t be on social media by request until it’s completed and delivered. Emails are exchanged with the completed image, and the delivery date or shipment is set up.

I work till your expectations are met and surpassed. My #1 priority is that you are 100% happy with the results.
